Land for landless peasants

Actionaid Pakistan purchased 14-acre land at Deh Widh in district Hyderabad of Sindh province for permanent settlement of peasants released from bonded labour. Development and planning of land is in progress.

 

 Documents maps are being prepared and will be submitted with Hyderabad development authority town planning department. More than 300 families will be settled permanently on this land. Community has suggested a name "Himatabad" (a colony of courageous people) for this village.

 

Actionaid Pakistan will open primary school and make arrangements for drinking water and basic infrastructure for sanitation. Actionaid Pakistan  is planning to purchase more land in district Hyderabad, Jamshoro and Matiari for permanent settlement of more peasants.
