Introduction of ActionAid Pakistans YOUTH Program

1.   The project titled Playing By the Rules, was launched in September 2001, its purpose, which is to channelize youthful energies towards positive direction, is considered to be very significant and a national requirement by AAPk. The idea behind this program is to wean young people away from the growing violence and terrorism by offering healthy and constructive alternatives through sports, art and culture. Our objectives are:

(a) Develop a Democratic Political System through instituting a Democratic Social Culture

(b) Develop a Culture Based on Democratic Norms and Values

(c) Build a Culture of Peace, Tolerance and Harmony

(d) Revive Local Sports and Cultural Heritage amongst the Youth
