This is one of the new cultural initiatives of the Karachi office, much along the lines of Interactive Theatre, in which the effort is to create songs and stories, drawing upon the input from all the participants, so that what is created at the end of the process is not the work of a single musician or poet but the collective creation of the whole group.

The musical tradition of storytelling interspersed with singing is very well known almost in all parts of the subcontinent. This being a part of our tradition is close to the grain of the people. Just as in participatory theatre, the content comes from the participants and therefore reflects their hopes, aspirations and urges. Since the material is drawn from people's lives, it reflects the issues which are their main concerns and which they would like to address
